Settings and themes

Settings live at three different scopes, and knowing which is which saves a lot of hunting.

The three scopes

Workspace. Billing, members, teams, the model mode. Changing one affects everyone in the workspace.

Project. Approval gates, connectors, conversation sync, the repository binding. Per board.

User or machine. Appearance, zoom, shortcuts, layout. Yours alone.

Most "where is that setting" confusion is a scope mismatch: conversation sync feels like a personal preference but is per project, because it governs what teammates can see.

Appearance

Five choices under Settings → Preferences → Appearance:

ThemeWhat it is
LightThe light palette.
DarkPastel steel blue-grey. The default.
MetalCool brushed gunmetal.
BeigeWarm paper, desaturated taupe accent.
SystemFollows your OS between Light and Dark.

Your theme is stored on your user, not your machine, so it follows you to any computer you sign in on.

Zoom

⌘+, ⌘- and ⌘0 zoom the app. Useful on a large display where the default is smaller than you want, and on a laptop where it is not.

Most places in the app that mention a setting link straight to it. If a banner tells you something is misconfigured, the fix is usually one click from the banner rather than a hunt through a settings tree.
